About the Event

Permastyle is an exchange involving 6 countries (Greece, Turkey, Italy, Spain, Poland,

Portugal) with 5 participants from each country ( 1 team leader and 4 participants ). The participants

are active in the field of ecology are aged 18-25 and face economic and

geographical difficulties. The action will take place at YamoChori, a site that only works with

ecological and includes 7 days with activities based on non-formal education (e

nergizer, teambuilding, experiential activities) which have been organized and implemented by themselves

the young.

The goals per day are the following:

  1. First day: acquaintance, acquaintance with the place
  2. Second day: group tying, rules for the proper functioning of the group, introduction to the topic (calculation of the ecological footprint)
  3. Third day: presentation and solution of (ecological) problems, information on (correct) recycling and application of upcycling
  4. Fourth day: sustainable mobility
  5. Fifth day: contact with the local community, beach cleaning, awareness of the volume of plastic that we use systematically
  6. Sixth day: making soap, toothpaste, etc. with natural ingredients, understanding how everyone can make a small change in their daily life, action against food waste. 
  7. Seventh day: contact with good practices, contact with nature, evaluation, opportunities offered by the Erasmus + program.

Objectives

The main goal of this program is to mobilize young people in Europe for

the salvation of the planet. Demonstrating existing problems and proposing workable solutions

in everyday life, alternatives to a more sustainable (environmentally) life, we aim to

to inform, sensitize and mobilize the youth in this direction. Yet,

through this youth exchange we aim to:

  • to realize what are our daily habits that harm the environment and to change them
  • to learn about our ecological footprint and how to reduce it
  • to exercise our creativity while helping the planet by participating in an up cycling process
  •   to learn how to make soap, toothpaste and other personal care products
  • to discover the benefits of alternative, sustainable mobility (hiking, cycling) and to strengthen our motivation to apply it in our daily lives
  • to see examples of healthy and environmentally friendly entrepreneurship 
  • to interact with young people from different cultural and social backgrounds
  • to work and have a nice and creative time together.

years and face financial and geographical difficulties. The project will take place in Elpidohori Argolidas, an ecofriendly

place, and will include 7 days full of activities based on non-formal education which have organized and will

be presented by young people themselves.

The goals per day are:

  1. Day one: getting to know each other
  2. Day two: teambuilding, rules of the week, introduction (calculation of ecological footprint)
  3. Day three: presentation about ecological problems and solutions, recycling and upcycling
  4. Day four: sustainable transport
  5. Day five: discover local community, beach cleaning, awareness of the volume of plastic we use
  6. Day six: making soap and toothpaste with natural materials, understanding how with small changes we can reduce food waste
  7. Day seven: learning new good practices, contact with nature, evaluation, opportunities offered by Erasmus +.

Objectives

The main objective of this program is to mobilize Europe's youth to save the planet. By demonstrating the existing

problems and proposing solutions applicable to everyday life, alternatives to a more sustainable life, we aim to

inform, raise awareness and mobilize youth in this direction. Furthermore, through this exchange of young people

  • we aim to: to realize which of our everyday habits harm the environment and to change them
  • to learn about our ecological footprint and how to reduce it
  • to practice our creativity while helping the planet by participating in an upcycling process
  • learn how to make soap, toothpaste and other personal care products.
  • to discover the benefits of alternative, sustainable travel (hiking, cycling) and to strengthence our motivation to apply it in our daily lives
  • to see examples of healthy and environmentally friendly entrepreneurship (visit local organic wineries)
  • to interact with young people from different cultural and social backgrounds, to work, have fun and be creative together.
